I absolutely love coming to the Newport Cafe when I'm on the Central Oregon coast. You have to try the whole 🦀 platter . You can't get any fresher than this..... and it's open 24/7. And the clam chowder? Absolutely brilliant! 🌊💚

We come here every time we are in Newport. Some times more than once because they serve breakfast all day and have beer and wine. The home fried potatoes are so yummy. Especially enjoy the scallops meal at a great price. Recommend going on the off hours as it is a small place and there can be a wait.

I ordered a shrimp cocktail and steamer clams , well the shrimp cocktail was not a shrimp cocktail it was a bay shrimp cocktail with to much lettuce , also I don't care if I find a hair in my food I understand stuff happens but three separate hairs in my Bay shrimp cocktail common , also they never refilled my drink which if it cost for refills let someone know I would have been happy to pay 2.00 dollars for 12 more oz of my dew and speaking of ounces your one and a half pound steamer clams I'm sure was a little short.

Great clam chowder coming from someone who usually does not like chowder. Good deep fried mushrooms and halibut.

Newport Cafe I just bought the eight pound burger from them August 10th I added bacon three types of cheese and home fries recommended to all for those who pass through 101 Newport you should stop by!

Delicious food and the staff is amazing! I love this place!!!

Wow! I'm very impressed. Great food, huge portions, tons of options, and fresh fries. But the best part was the fresh, real, non frozen hamburger patties. The service was awesome and they really made us feel welcome. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in the area.

Excellent service and food. Doing a great job with the take-out and delivery.

Food was decent and quick. But if you're at all concerned with COVID, I would encourage you not to go here. An older gentleman (probably owner or manager) came in to count cash in the till or something and didn't wear his mask at all... to top that I saw him in the back kitchen and cough (again, without his mask on). Most likely doesn't have COVID, but still... not happy seeing a food service place not following recent health and safety guidelines.

The husband and I went in for brunch/lunch. Everyone was super nice, nice portion size but the food was not for us. When you walk in, the smell of dirty grease hits you, the hash browns, the fries, everything tastes like the old dirty grease. They have a big old grease tank in the back of the building. There is a film all over the tables, the condiment bottles. I don't think we will be back, it's just not for us.

Good for a once visit. The food was good, portions were generous. They need a serious cleaning though. The table and condiments were sticky and the restroom was worse ~ it was so bad I had serious concerns about the food. I doubt we'll be back based on hygiene.

Greasy horrible food. We particularly enjoyed the constant buzzing of the flies when they weren't dive bombing onto the pad of melting rancid butter in the center of our bowl of the most vile chowder. We gladly let the flies have it

Travelling through town from Arizona. Excellent Fish (halibut and salmon) with red potatoes. Also shrimp salad. Senior menu. Good price. To go only during the virus. Pleasant staff.

I had there chicken fried steak and it was the best chicken fried steak that i have ever had. Very thick large piece with homemade breading. Also i have to say we had it delivered to our hotel and they delivered it still pipping hot. I was super impressed , usually when food is deliverd its not as hot or warm as you would like it. But they must have delivered it the moment they finished cooking the food. It was super nice. Plus the customer service and delivery boy was pretty cool. I recommend this 100%.

First time there, great portion of food and awesome customer service

We usually visit the coast during the summer and this place is always busy so we never stopped, now we know why. We had the pleasure of eating Thanksgiving day lunch here and let me tell you, it was the best experience. Fantastic customer service, made to order delicious food and they even had Thanksgiving dinner on the menu! Beyond impressed with this little cafe. Clam chowder was so good! And even the crab melt was the best I've ever had on the coast or anywhere else. The owner is definitely doing something right because this place is the best on the coast. Best food, best atmosphere and the best employees. Thank you guys for working Thanksgiving day and giving my family a great experience. We'll definitely see you next year, busy or not!

Newport cafe is always a go too for us but they went above and beyond this time! They forgot our dressing for a salad in a takeout order, and they more than made up for it! This was one of the best costumer service experiences I’ve ever had. Always my first recommendation to anyone visiting Newport Oregon. Thank you guys I wish I could give 6 stars.

Seriously the Newport Cafe is just about the best food and service in Newport! Was so impressed with the food and the staff there that we had to go again the next day! Thank you for the delicious food and being friendly and fast! Can’t say this about the other restaurant we tried while we were here! Hidden jewel for sure!

Take out only with reduced hours. Was late when arrived. They took great care of us and the food was great.

EVERY TIME we go to Newport the whole family insists on stopping by. Breakfast, lunch, diner or 4th meal. We love this place!

Great food selection, great food and very friendly service. The Captain's Platter is worth the trip. We will eat there again.

Great food and the employees at this Mom and Pop restaurant, were funny and attentive. I highly recommend this place! I even did a love FB video while sitting in the parking lot, to share how awesome they are!

Great burger's! A lot of times with giant burgers they're over cooked, but not the case with this place. Yes, it's huge and certainly more then I could/should eat in one sitting so we got 2 of these to share with 4 people and it was perfect. I would suggest putting the bottom bun on the top of the top bun for to-go orders....it was near mush when we went to eat them 5 min after picking them up. Nice juicy burger but the bottom bun suffers.

Simply the best even during a pandemic the staff is amazing and the food is awesome

Food was really good. Only one person there on shift but he was very fast to take our order and cook it. He was super nice. Good price. Best late night eatery in Newport. Highly recommend.

We got the Ship, Captain and Crew feast and it was delicious, perfect for two adults and two kids.

Awesome food! My daughter is a picky eater and she loves this place. Best cod we've had in a long time! The staff is really nice too.

I has the shrimp Louie salad. It was fresh & refreshing. Hubby had the Senior Cod & crinkle fries. It seemed like a large portion for the $8 & was hot & tasty.

They have amazingly good food and the staff are excellent hosts with really good cook times

They are still open for take out or delivery. The good is still just as great as before and so are the people. This is one of my favorite places to go on Newport!

Best chow Ive found if you like small town cafe grub!...

The steamer clams were delicious. Takeout was quick even though we had a huge order. There's socially distant outdoor seating as well if you don't want to do full takeout. The stuffed pancakes are extremely sweet though so be ready if you're ordering that.

This place was awesome, the service was great. I know it may seem difficult to mess up a traditional club sandwich, but I've been trying to find a place that makes one right without me having to make a special order. These guys made me the best club sandwich I've had in a long time and they can expect me and my family to visit every time we're in Newport.

I had a great breakfast here. I’m going back for a burger next. The owners have put lots of thought into this place and their attention to detail shines through in the food.
